Joya-no-Kane (New Year's Eve Bell Ringing): 11:45 PM –

The bell-ringing will begin at 11:45 PM, following the Joyae service (which starts at 11:00 PM). Numbered tickets for the bell-ringing will be distributed starting at 10:15 PM, prior to the service.
While this bell is not usually available to the public, everyone is welcome to participate in the New Year's Eve bell-ringing.

We invite you to take this special opportunity to visit Kita Mido.

As we mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake...

The bell of Kita Mido is a precious historical treasure. It was spared from being melted down under the wartime Metal Collection Order and miraculously survived the fires of the Great Osaka Air Raid that destroyed the surrounding buildings.

This year has been a significant milestone, marking 80 years since the end of World War II and 30 years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. As we reflect on 2025 and look toward 2026, let us ring this "Bell of Peace" with a renewed prayer for a world without war and with the memories of the earthquake held deep in our hearts.鐘楼も焼け落ちポツンと残る梵鐘
